It was a postcard day
it was so sunny
and I was so happy
we stomped
up the steps
to the tippity top
searching
scanning
for the top of a whale
all the while
ladybugs gave
us sweet sweet kisses
I looked out over the water
and wished
that i might fly
and join them
in the wide ocean's
big belly
before the day
swallowed me whole
